I hear the music, I didn't choose it, it just chose me, I can't break free, i don't know why, this is my destiny...

Curvilinear masterpiece, convolute in my sheets, toss and turn, twist and shout, misery and treats, misery and treats...

Snowy December I need some fun, think of the Land of the Yellow Sun, Deep in the heart of a Yellow Man, Yellow Sun take me to Japan.

What are you doing with your life and who are you doing it to, what do you hope to accomplish or do you give a damn? You say yes, sure, of course I do, but is it for you or your Mother, your neighbors, the editors of Fortune, what do you want for you?

"I feel a void in the place you used to be- a you-shaped hole and that hole's inside of me; its such a vacuum that I feel I've got to fill, that's why I'm searching, searching for a thrill."

Would you let me try on your, Fetching Dress, I would like to try on your, Fetching Dress, and feel its awesome power, but only for an hour, I'm such a lousy coward in your Fetching Dress.

Grey in December, I feel blue, try to imagine a place or two, conjure a vision rarely seen, I can see Europe, small and green.

about

Tim Cain created Boys' Entrance in 1991 in Chicago shortly after driving by a "old school" school house with the words BOYS ENTRANCE carved in stone above the door. Cain thought that sounded like the perfect name for his own queer music project.
He came upon Bad Dog Recording Studio and set about recording BE's debut, Exit or Entrance. Cain utilized the two story "live room" to its fullest, with the guiding hand of studio owner and engineer, Tom Mohbat. The sound of the room was totally unique- possessed of an amazing echo.
Cain sequenced the songs on the album on his Ensoniq VFX- which he still uses today. He layered the tracks in pre-production at his apartment, then downloaded them at Bad Dog where the process of recording vocals, guitar, and bass were handled by Cain.
Special guest artists were brought in for several songs, most notably lead guitarist and Eboist extraordinaire, , Glass and Jazz saxophonist, Patrick Mallinger.
The album was recorded throughout 1991, and released in May 1992 on cassette only. It has never been available on the Internet in its entirety until now- 30 years later.
Boys' Entrance has evolved over the 30 years with many players flowing through the band. Cain wishes to that each and every one for their substantial contributions to the music.
